My first day of summer was spent delivering cake and cupcakes for a little girl's birthday party at this art place for children in Long Beach. It was such a delight to see the celebrant and her family plus some familiar smiling faces of our friends that day! :)
The venue was the Averyboo Art Place, and it is such as colorful & fun place to hold parties or events for kids. As an artist, I get excited whenever I see paints, colored chalks, and anything that sparks my imagination and gives me inspiration for new cake ideas and designs.
By the way, the cake I made for the celebrant was colored purple and pink, with plenty of butterflies and colored blossom flowers. Her birthday theme was My Little Pony, and my cake design simply matched the background colors and theme of her themed table spread and toy.
The cake itself is made of my triple chocolate cake filled with dark chocolate truffle filling and 3 kinds of chocolate chips.
The celebrant's mom was so kind to share the photos they took of the happy 3-year old and her friends. See here the collage I made using 3 of her pics. The best part of my job as a cake artist is seeing smiling faces with my cake. #happiness
