2013 OC Fair Cupcake Classics

This MOCHA COFFEE LATTE cupcake filled with caramel cream is our winning entry to the 2013 OC Fair Cupcake Classics competition! Out of hudreds of entries, our entry placed 7th!:) We are so proud! 

Luau-Themed cakes - 08/04/2013 party

Chichay's Kitchen set up a Luau-themed dessert table. There were 2 cakes (Triple Chocolate Truffle & Dark Chocolate Fudge), with all edible and handmade decors, and cupcakes (Caramel Vanilla Cream & Mocha Coffee Latte - our winning entry in the 2013 Orange County Fair cupcake competition!). Thank you to our hosts/friends! Your party was really awesome! Congratulations to an event well done!:-)

Icing Smiles cake project for 7-11-13

Icing Smiles requested me to make a cake for a child named Mikey, who has an incurable brain cancer. The cake is part of the celebration for his 3rd year of still being the bubbly & fun Mikey after that day of diagnosis.

It was a fun and inspiring experience to meet and present to Mikey the cake! He was smiling, was excited to let us know that he knows all the game characters, and even named the sugar figures on the cake.

Hubby said "mission accomplished", because the cake made Mikey smile, and that is Icing Smiles' goal for every cake delivered!:-)

Miracle Mikey is such an inspiration to me.  He made me realize how important it is to live each day fully, to say thanks to each blessing we receive, and to BELIEVE in God's miracles.

"Gooey Double Chocolate Cupcakes"

These moist chocolate cupcakes are fillled with milk chocolate mousse, frosted with dark chocolate ganache and topped with dark chocolate chips. The cake itself has chocolate chips too!
